To meet the ever-increasing demands for fitness and recreation, Washington & Jefferson College decided to expand and improve the Henry Memorial Gymnasium; which has long been the Home of Athletics at W & J.
The new athletic complex is the center place for the transformation of Athletic facilities. It serves a need for students to have a place to play basketball, run or walk when the weather is inclement, and to release their stress. Features include 30,000 SF of new athletic space, including three indoor track lanes, three indoor multi-sport courts, yoga and exercise rooms, batting cages, pole-vault pen, indoor cycle studio, state-of-the-art fitness equipment, locker rooms, meeting rooms, and office suites.
