Multi-Phased Renovations and Infrastructure Modernization for 8-Story Life Sciences Complex
Constructed originally in 1957, Clapp Hall is an 8-story Life Sciences complex housing research and teaching laboratories, offices, classrooms, vivarium, auditorium and library.
The project consists of significant multi-phased renovations, infrastructure modernization. Some of the systems replaced include a new HVAC system, new vertical building core, and new electrical distribution, and laboratory expansions to Clapp, Langley, and Crawford Hall.
Clapp Hall renovations included infrastructure replacement, selective demolition, interior renovations to the vivarium, greenhouse, instructional laboratories, research laboratories, administration, and lobby areas.Langley Hall renovations included infrastructure modernization.Crawford Hall renovations included vivarium expansion, infrastructure modernization, research laboratories on Floors 1 through 5 and Life Sciences annex.
Mosites Construction Company was selected as the general trades contractor for this project based on our lump sum construction bid and reputation for multi-phased city construction.
