The new science building houses a large robotics lab for all students, 1,100 SF of laboratory space, and individual science project rooms called "flex rooms". These room are for students and faculty to conduct independent, ongoing research and experiments. It also boasts new equipment, video projectors, "SPARK" science learning systems, and SMART Boards.
The existing Oliver Science building, built originally in 1986, was completely gutted and new rooms were constructed. The biggest challenge of the project was the new entryway and updating the front of the building. The entryway was reconfigured to provide accessibility and to match the architecture of the lower campus.
Mosites was hired as the construction manager based on our reputation for controlling institutional construction and our capability to control a new construction project that will minimize inconvenience to students, staff & faculty.
