Mosites has been working at Ruby Memorial Hospital since 2013, consistently bidding and procuring work including the atrium and entrance expansion and renovation, the southeast bed tower, the Heart and Vascular Institute expansion, and the Women & Children’s Tower concrete and general construction work. The hospital’s new 200,000 SF, 10-story bed tower created space for new licensed beds and expanded its trauma center, emergency department, and recovery areas. The larger HVI project renovated and expanded 50,000 SF on the 1st, 2nd, and 7th floors of the Southeast Tower. The design promotes staff efficiency and retention with each neighborhood configured to be self-sufficient, accommodating the necessary supplies and equipment. Mosites was hired as each project’s sitework, general trades, and concrete contractor. Work included site excavation, demolition, shoring and infrastructure enabling, foundations, concrete slab-on-grade and slab-on-deck, exterior walls, interior finishes, medical floor fit-out and site concrete.
