Sally’s Sanctuary Women’s Shelter is a transformative addition to the City Mission campus in Washington, Pennsylvania. Completed in 2025, this three-level facility expands the Mission’s ability to support homeless women and children with a safe, trauma-informed environment designed to meet both immediate and long-term needs. The project reflects Mosites’ commitment to building meaningful community infrastructure and delivering high-quality facilities for nonprofit and mission-driven clients. The new shelter was constructed from the ground up, replacing an outdated facility and significantly increasing capacity across the Mission’s campus. Mosites completed the full structural and interior build-out, including all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems, as well as site work, parking upgrades, and landscaping. The layout includes a series of private and semi-private residential suites, emergency shelter accommodations, staff offices, communal gathering areas, a commercial kitchen, laundry facilities, and a dedicated childcare center — an essential feature supporting mothers seeking stable housing. The building’s flexible layout also allows the organization to adjust programming as needs evolve.
