Picture yourself as a parishioner walking through the doors of a new 33,525 SF church that required three capital campaigns with over 900 donors, raising funds for the project’s construction. You immediately look up and see over 3,000 stars on the ceiling. The preconstruction process was vital to building the new church from the ground up. This phase was used to clarify budget concerns, establish a schedule to highlight milestone dates, delegate team roles to set the project up for success. Once the construction phase was ready to begin, the project manager and superintendent were already well-versed in the project’s unique characteristics. The stained glass windows also required team communication and coordination. They were re-purposed from other surrounding churches and were an integral part of the Architect’s design. The layout for the masonry openings all had to be adjusted in the field to work with the existing glass sizes while aluminum frames were custom bent. Mosites worked closely with the parish to incorporate meaningful items and make the new church an established vestment of the community. Mosites completed all work on time and in budget. Mosites consistently proposes on and procures work with the Diocese of Pittsburgh.
