The University Center renovation and addition is a unique, multi-use facility combining a student union, campus recreation center, and academic hub, creating a prominent new front entrance while enhancing circulation and connectivity across campus. The existing building underwent a significant interior transformation alongside a three-story addition. The ground floor features a modern fitness center with strength and conditioning areas and locker rooms, illuminated by a full-height glass wall. The second floor includes an open-air, mezzanine-style cardio area and exercise studios dedicated to group cycling classes.
Site improvements included rain gardens, loading dock facilities, sidewalks, canopies, lighting, landscaping, and modifications to the existing parking garage, creating an integrated and functional exterior environment. Throughout construction, Mosites managed activities within a high-traffic, active campus environment, coordinating complex logistics, maintaining safety, minimizing disruption, and integrating solutions that strengthened both circulation and community relationships.
