Mosites led a comprehensive community outreach and workforce development effort that began in preconstruction and continued through project completion. The focus was simple to connect the project to the community in a meaningful way while creating real opportunities for local residents, students, and businesses. Through early engagement and consistent coordination, our team worked alongside community organizations, training programs, and local partners to expand access to construction careers and increase participation from neighborhood businesses. This approach ensured the project delivered more than a finished building, it created lasting economic and workforce impact within the Hazelwood community.

Community Engagement

Participated in local events to introduce students and residents to construction careers and provide direct exposure to the industry.

Workforce Development Partnerships

Collaborated with job training and pre-apprenticeship programs to connect local residents with opportunities in the trades.

Hands-on Training Opportunities

Partnered with the Trade Institute of Pittsburgh to construct a community garden shed as part of the project, providing real-world hands-on experience for trainees.

Local Economic Participation

Engaged local subcontractors, suppliers, and neighborhood businesses to ensure the project supported the surrounding economy.
